REVIEW Jumiso Waterfull Hyaluronic Line (Toner & Cream) + The Famous All Day Vitamin Serum (ENGLISH)

by - August 24, 2022

Jumiso has always been on my wish list. I think it started when I saw many of my reviewer friends hyping them. I couldn’t believe my eyes when they contacted me, asking if I wanted to try and review their products. Hell yeah, I do!

I didn't expect anything until a package from Korea arrived. When I opened it up, I found 3 Jumiso products in it~ Two of them are from the Waterfull Hyaluronic line, and the other one is one of Jumiso's best-selling products. I got Jumiso Waterfull Hyaluronic Toner & Cream and Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening and Balancing Facial Serum (a.k.a Jumiso Vitamin C Serum). So exciting!

I tried and tested these beauties for a few weeks, and here are my takes on them~

Packaging

A plastic squeezing bottle with a “funnel” kind-of tip. This kind of tip is very new for me to see in a skincare bottle. I think it’s a fresh and helpful idea :D It makes the pouring job much easier (and more fun too). And, thank God, it’s lockable.

I love this packaging, but, gotta be honest, the size’s big. Definitely not travel-friendly. Won’t be a problem if you don’t do travelling often, though.

Scent

It has a subtle clean skincare scent. You might not notice that it’s a scent and mistake it as unscented (like I did at first).

Texture & Finish

The texture looks very watery from the outside when it actually has a good body in it. When I say body, I don’t mean it’s thick, thick. It’s still considered thin.. only with a bit of viscosity, so you can feel it on your skin. Although so, it doesn’t leave any sticky feeling and absorbs quickly. It’ll make your skin look well-hydrated afterwards.

Perfect texture for all skin types
Yes. I do think this kind of texture is quite easy to use.

Thoughts

This toner surprised me when I first felt the texture. I didn’t expect it to have such a body since the texture looks watery and light from the outside. Hydrating toners with this kind of body are usually versatile and easy to use on every skin type. Yet still, deliver a good amount of hydration. And, yeah, that’s how I feel about this toner.

I love how it feels like I’m putting something on my skin whenever I apply this product. I know most of the time we don’t like that kind of feeling. But when it happens at the right amount, it does feel nice! Especially for people with dry and/or easily dehydrated skin.

Since this toner has that feeling and is actually hydrating, you don’t need to use too many layers. I usually go with one layer in the daytime and two at night.

Oh, before I continue, my skin type is a combination of normal and slightly oily in several areas. It is a little bit sensitive as it’s prone to dehydration and over-exfoliation. My skin is most sensitive to physical exfoliators, though. It doesn’t really react negatively to hydrating products. Also, I live in Indonesia, which is a tropical country with hot and humid weather.

Okay, let’s move on to my further explanation!

That’s the portion of my skin. You might only need one layer at one skincare routine if you have oily skin, and you can use two to three layers if your skin is more on the dry side. Honestly speaking, I’d recommend you use another toner from Jumiso if you have oily and easily-clogged skin. Not because this toner won’t do you good, but I think toners with other ingredients would be more beneficial for you.

So, yeah, I do like this product! I think it gives a good amount of hydration with a good texture. The price is also considered a steal for the big size. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the “funnel” tip is also a cool point of this product as it makes my life easier and more fun ;D

Suitable for

Normal to dry skin, with or without dehydration-prone concern. Would still work well on oily skin, though.

Pros

+ well hydrating
+ slightly viscous body without being sticky, stifling, nor hardly absorbs
+ good price for the result & size
+ cool packaging with the “funnel” tip (plus, it’s lockable)

Cons

- not travel-friendly because of the size of the packaging

Packaging

A usual glass bottle with dropper/pipette. I was pretty concerned by the light-coloured glass, remembering that this product has a high amount of vitamin C in it. It hasn’t oxidised up until now, though. So, I guess, as long as you don’t put it under the direct sun, it’d be just fine.

Scent

It has a citrusy scent. It’s more like a sweet orange scent for me. Not so subtle, but definitely not too much. Just the right amount. I personally like it!

Texture & Finish

It has a light watery texture with a little body. It easily absorbs into the skin and doesn’t leave any sticky feeling. Your skin will look slightly more glowing after you apply it.

Thoughts

I have tried several vitamin C serums or even ampoules, and I come to a conclusion that there are two types of vitamin C skincare based on the effect it gives on the skin. The first one is vitamin C products that brighten the whole complexion but takes longer to fade hyperpigmentation. As for the products that fall into the second category, they are very strong vitamin Cs to get rid of hyperpigmentation, but won’t do much to your overall complexion. It doesn’t mean that these products can’t do both. They just work better in one category and need time to work on the other. Plus, it doesn’t work the same for everyone as our skin is uniquely different.

___

So, after trying it out for almost a month, I think this vitamin C from Jumiso is the second type. I find some hyperpigmentation that I had left became more skin-like (colour-wise, I mean). It, too, does help me beat the dullness in my skin that I had because of a few days of outing with no sunscreen (which I’m ashamed of). But it doesn’t solve it instantly, though. I assume that if I want to do more in the complexion brightening area using this product, I might need the second, or even third, bottle.

With vitamin C, I also usually notice that it gives an instant glow to your skin. This Jumiso one does that too, but I think the glow is not as prominent as some other vitamin C products that I’ve tried.

In conclusion, I think it’s a good vitamin C serum. Is it worth the price? It is if you are looking for vitamin C to treat your hyperpigmentation. If you have the budget and not actually looking for something specific, this serum might be a good option too!

Suitable for

All skin types, but I’d recommend sensitive skin people to watch out for the essential oils in it.

Pros

+ helps fade hyperpigmentation quite fast
+ feels gentle on the skin
+ beats dullness, but takes a little longer than it fades hyperpigmentation
+ has a nice scent & texture

Cons

- a little bit pricey, but if you have the budget, I think it’s worth trying
- contains essential oils that might be sensitising for some people

Packaging

A thick plastic jar. I like the colour combination—transparent with a blue tint and opaque white. The jar design is safe & hygienic with an extra lid and a spatula in it. The size is fairly large, so it might be spacey if you bring it travelling.

Scent

No scent.

Texture & Finish

It has a bit dense gel texture that gives a film/layer on top of the skin for a few minutes after being applied. Although so, it’s easy to spread and doesn’t take much time to be absorbed into the skin. By the way, it feels nice and cool when it touches the skin. I love it! Use this, and your skin will look more hydrated afterwards.

Thoughts

I can see this moisturiser being the cult’s favourite—especially for dry skin and/or people in cold areas. The texture is emollient and feels a bit occlusive because of the thin & snuggling layer it has. Even so, its gel texture is still easy to spread around. A plus point ;)

Another reason I think this moisturiser is suitable for those people is that it is both hydrating and moisturising. I’d still recommend using their toner (and/or serum, maybe) too for the hydrating effect, but this moisturiser alone is already doing you a favour for the extra hydration. I’m stating this not because I can scientifically prove it but because I can feel the difference. You can too, once you start paying attention to how your skin feels and react.

This kind of moisturiser tends to become stifling. Fortunately, I haven’t felt that way up until now. It might be because I always do my skincare routine in my room, and the AC is always on whenever I’m in my room. I should try using it in humid air, but I think I don’t want to. I don’t mean to be unprofessional or what, but I hate that stifling sense on the skin! :( Okay, maybe I should do it one day. Just make sure you’re following my Instagram, as I’ll update it on my Instagram story later on.

Ah, let me continue my review. This moisturiser might be the boring type—same as the toner—but if your concern is dryness and damaged skin barrier, these are your saviours. And acne and dullness, actually. Especially if those concerns come out because of dehydration or over-exfoliation.

Suitable for

I think it’d be more suitable for people ranging from the normal skin type to very dry.

Pros

+ hydrating and moisturising at once
+ has a nice texture
+ comes with an extra lid and a spatula to make it more hygienic
+ pretty packaging

Cons

- a little bit pricey, but if you have the budget, I think it’s worth trying
- has the tendency to be a little stifling if applied in humid weather
