REVIEW Abib Heartleaf Essence Calming Pump (ENGLISH)
It’s pretty often I see my reviewer friends talk about this Korean brand. Thanks to them, I’m aware and even interested to know more about this brand. Besides the positive reviews, I also am intrigued by the minimalist aesthetic of the design. It is Abib, the brand I’m talking about.
Once upon a time, I saw an Instagram ad. That ad is from Abib, containing the announcement that they’re doing a try-and-review for one of their products. The chosen reviewers only have to review it on Lazada. Of course, I registered myself and hoped for the opportunity to try one of their products. I got lucky and chosen to be one of those reviewers! Out of the five products offered, I picked the Heartleaf Essence Calming Pump.
I chose this product because I never tried any skincare with heartleaf in them (as far as I know). This ingredient, according to INCI Decoder, has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. Those claims make me wonder what would happen to my skin if it happens to love this ingredient… Would I get a significant positive effect? Hopefully!
Great Ingredient — Comedogenic / Fungal Acne Trigger — Be Aware
This essence, combined with other skincare products I use, can reduce the redness on my skin. I can’t state how significant this essence works in reducing the redness. But, looking at how fast the process became after inputting this product into my routine, I guess it’s pretty impactful.
I think this essence is good because I can see the positive effects on my skin. It doesn’t feel tacky and fast-absorbing—which means it is comfortable to use, and the packaging is visually pleasing. Some of their claims are not true on my skin, but, at least, the primary claims are proved right.
The only con for me is the pricey price. It might not be relevant for everyone, though. If the price matches the budget, then the price can’t be a con for you. Also, people whose skins love this essence might not think of the high price as a great matter.

DISCLAIMER: I’m not a doctor, chemist, nor an expert. I mark the ingredients as green, yellow, or red based on Skincarisma and/or my own knowledge, and probably biased by my preference. Please also note that some ingredients can be both good and bad depends on your skin type and preference. I tell this product is suitable for people who I THINK would suit it. I do this to make it easier for newbies. Please do your own research too and find which ingredients suit (or don’t work well on-) your skin!

The box and the bottle are visually pleasing with the all-white colour. Combined with the minimalist font in black, I think it looks very intriguing. The size of the bottle is pretty small. It uses a pump, and it is also provided with a cover/case/cap to make sure the product is safe, especially when you travel with it.Scent
It has a subtle citrusy-herb scent, not disturbing at all.Texture
This essence has a gel texture, but you can feel it melts into water texture when it touches the skin. It is fast-absorbing and doesn’t leave any sticky feeling.![]() |
