REVIEW I’m From Honey Glow Cream
I’ve heard the brand I’m From a lot, but I haven’t got the chance (or the budget) to try any of their products… until one day, I was chosen to be one of their launching giveaway winners! I won one of their newest products, it is Honey Glow Cream*! The other new product is Honey Serum, but I chose the Honey Glow Cream because I need a new moisturiser. Anyway, I’m excited to try I’m From’s new product and can’t wait to review it!
Price
US$32 or around IDR450,000 for 50g.
Packaging
A hexagonal glass jar. It looks classy and sturdy but unfortunately makes this product not travel-friendly. There’s a thin plastic lid between the cap and the jar, but the lid is so fragile. I accidentally pressed it a little bit too hard and it cracked and clipped, so it’s kinda useless. The box that comes with the product made from paper and the visual/design is lovely.
Scent
It has a creamy honey scent. The scent is subtle and surprisingly isn’t as sweet as I thought a creamy honey scent would be. It also doesn’t linger after you spread the product on your face.
Texture
The texture looks like heavy cream, but it actually is very lightweight, like a light lotion texture. Very easy to spread, but apparently it takes some time to be fully absorbed into the skin. I think it’s because the product turns into a rich cream once it spread. It gives a wet glowing effect when it still sits on the skin.

Result
I didn’t expect anything when I received this product. When I first open it, I was pretty surprised because the texture looks very light… and it actually is lightweight, it feels like a light lotion when I touched and spread it on the back of my hand. The interesting part is the product turns into a heavier, richer cream once it applied on the skin. That texture means this product supposed to be very moisturising (and it is). Once it applied, it looks like it makes a film coating on the skin and makes the skin looks glowing.
Unfortunately, this moisturiser takes time to completely sinks into the skin. And, if you use it in a humid place, it will make your skin feel ‘stifling’ or hot, and the cream will melt with your sweats. That’s what happened to me in the past two weeks when I used this product while I was at my home in Bali. So, I suggest you use it in a room with AC, or on dry/not humid places. I wasn’t too bothered by those points, though, especially the first one. And you can avoid the second point by turning on the AC or fan in your room.
If you’re wondering if this product suits every skin type, I’d say I can see this product suits every skin type but people with very oily skin. This is not 100% right, okay, hehe. It’s just my opinion, and I can say that because I think, based on my experience using it, even though this product is rich in moisture but it can help to balance my natural facial oil, even for my normal-oily combination skin.
Besides to help on providing moisture, this product has a few other claims such as firming and/or reduces wrinkles, to whitening. To be honest, I don’t really like the whitening claim because I prefer brands to say it as brightening, and the fact is I don’t feel any improvement on that aspect anyway. Well, it’s kinda hard for me to feel the whitening or brightening improvement, though, because I also use other brightening products such as my essence and serum. I also can’t tell much about the firming claim because I’m not dealing with that concern (yet). Logically, though, if this product can give rich moisture, maybe it could help to improve skin elasticity.
Overall, I think I won’t repurchase this product. Not because it’s not good! It’s great. But it’s kinda pricey for me at this time, and it’d work better when I’m dealing with drier, or more mature, or dehydrated skin. I’d repurchase it when my skincare budget expands, though. In fact, I’d pick this product as my first product to go to when the time has come. For you guys who are dealing with drier skin, or just have the budget and really want to try it, I think it’s worth to try and worth the price!

Product was gifted by the brand, but it doesn’t change my honest opinion about the product.
This simple and easy to pair moisturiser is very interesting, isn’t it? Who’s going to try it?
