REVIEW L’Oreal Revitalift Crystal Micro-Essence
Since I first saw it on Instagram, I was already curious about L’Oreal Revitalift Crystal Micro-Essence*. To be honest, I’ve planned to buy the small size of this product, but guess what? L’Oreal contacted me and said they wanted to send me a PR package of this essence! I’m beyond happy! I got the bigger size of this product and I’ve tried it for a few weeks. I got a breakout when I first tried this, and I didn’t know if it was this essence that made me break out, or it was just a coincidence. I put a lot of thoughts to figure it out, and then I realised, my skin was a little bit dehydrated already when I first tried this essence. I also was sick at that time, so, yeah, there were so many possible factors that could give me the breakout. Anyway, without any further ado, let’s jump into the review!
Price
IDR115,000 for 65ml or IDR199,000 for 130ml.
Where to buy
Online:Shopee**, Tokopedia**, Sociolla, Lazada**, JD.ID, Blibli.
Offline:
Drugstore, department store.
Packaging
A white, semi-transparent frosted bottle, I love! A little bit heavy, not travel-friendly. Maybe the small size is easier to travel with.
Scent
A subtle floral scent, not overpowering at all. Smells a little like an expensive perfume, lol, it’s nice and calming.
Texture
The texture is very light and watery. I don’t sense any stickiness from this product, and it absorbs quickly.

Result
If you’ve read my ‘temporary’ review about this product on my Instagram, then you already knew that I think this product ‘theoretically’ is quite inaccurate to be said as suitable for sensitive skins, because it contains salicylic acid. Even until now, I still think that sensitive skin people should be aware when they want to use this product OR even any other products with salicylic acid in it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that this MUST be doesn’t suit you! You know your skin better, just keep in mind that this product contains two types of BHA. Besides BHA, I suggest you be aware of the existence of yeast extract because not everyone can take it especially people who are fungal acne-prone. I also stated that this essence is tricky because it made my skin to be more sensitive, but I already clarified at the beginning of this post that it was just my skin whom already showed some signs of it being dehydrated.
Anyway, for the final verdict… Apparently, I’m so in love with this product! How could I know it? So, after I tried this product for around two weeks, I moved to try another gifted product and I’m off from this one for a while. In those two weeks, I found that my skin missed this essence. One of the (small) reason is the scent of this product, lol. Even though I always think non-fragranced skincare is better, but I’m a sucker for a well-fragranced product, so I can’t say no to it.
The main reason why I missed this essence is that I just realised that when I used this, my skin was very smooth. It is a similar effect to whenever I use an exfoliating toner regularly. I think it’s because of the BHA, and, of course, because of each products’ great formulation. Even though it has a similar effect to an exfoliating toner, but I prefer using this essence because it also can maintain the brightness of my skin and the relaxation effect from the scent. I’m also a very visual person, I love good packaging. So, this essence has a plus point on that one, too.
But, I still need to maximise my skincare game by layering more hydration and moisture, just like what I said on Instagram. I personally have no problem by adding an extra step on my skincare routine if it can give me a great result. Sadly, just like what I said on my review before, my pores aren’t blurred by using this essence. My pores are quite hard to be blurred, though, so I don’t mind.
The conclusion is I recommend this product! It’s worth to try, especially for people who deal with dullness and clogged pores.
