Vegan & Eco-Friendly Hair Care from Love Beauty and Planet!
I bet most beauty enthusiasts in Indonesia were screaming when they see Love Beauty and Planet launched in Indonesia. How could we not, when they offer beautiful claims about giving you the most when you’re showering and not have to feel guilty with the planet because of the amount of plastic we wasted for all these shampoos, conditioners, body washes, and body lotions! Offering five variants for different skin types (for the body wash & body lotion) or hair types (for shampoo & conditioner), I think they give us enough options.
I’m more interested in their hair care, maybe because I think I’m pretty satisfied with my current body care but still looking for the right hair care for my hair type. I was pretty shocked when I saw they have something for thin and straight hair. And it’s in coconut scent, oh my! So that’s basically why I’m here talking about Love Beauty and Planet, it's because I couldn’t stop myself to not trying this one out. I wanted to try all of their variants, but since that’s not possible… I asked my boyfriend to tried another variant, lol. I picked the Lavender & Argan Oil variant for him because I think he has a dehydrated scalp, and I watched one of Female Daily’s video before saying that it’s better to use shampoo for dry scalps for a dehydrated scalp. I wasn’t sure if this one is the right variant, but I picked it anyway *raise shoulders*
It’s been a few weeks since we both tried our shampoos & conditioners, and I’m going to write my reviews on the Coconut variant… and I’ll try describing my boyfriend’s reviews (or thoughts, he said) toward the variant he’s trying. Lol, let’s jump right in!
Love Beauty and Planet with Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower Shampoo (Blue)
Price: IDR 73,500
Scent: I love the scent! It’s in coconut scent but not too sweet like coconut perfume (you know what I mean), mixed with another scent that I can’t identify (probably the mimosa flower).
Claims:
Makes hair look voluminous ~ no
Stronger hair ~ yes
Smoothen and moisturises the hair ~ yes
Result:
I was a little bit afraid that my scalp didn’t like this shampoo because when my scalp doesn’t like/match the shampoo, I’d have an excessive amount of dandruff. But it was all safe and I didn’t have any dandruff when I use this shampoo, yay! I didn’t expect this shampoo would help with hair fall, but recently I notice my hair fall isn’t as bad as usual. It might be because of this shampoo, right? Unfortunately, I don’t see any significant change in the “volume” of my hair. My hair is still looking thin and straight, even though it looks a little bit fluffier than usual. This shampoo makes my hair feel squeaky clean, which led to fluffier hair, but it doesn’t dry my hair (combined with the conditioner, never tried it without conditioner). The scent, though, oh my God! It smells so good and the scent stays for a few days. Even after three days, I still can smell a little bit of the scent. I think it’s the shampoo that has the most long-lasting scent I’ve ever tried. I’m still gonna use it, and I will update later if I see any change/improvement on my hair.

Result:
My hair isn’t that selective when it comes to conditioner, but I do. I don’t really like a conditioner that is too slippery and too soft because I have a veeery thin and straight hair, so, of course, I don’t want it to be even straighter. This conditioner isn’t that soft, so that’s a plus. It’s fast-rinsed compared to other conditioners I’ve tried, leaves my hair feeling smooth but not too much, hahaha. It easily becomes my favourite conditioner. I didn’t expect a conditioner to give me any volume, to be honest, and yeah this conditioner doesn’t give volume but it doesn’t make my hair too soft that it becomes very straight. The scent is just as good as the shampoo, and the combination of these two products give the most long-lasting scent for my hair. I’m still gonna use it, and I will update later if I see any change/improvement on my hair.

Result:
I like this shampoo better than the one that I usually use because it’s rinsed easier and faster. It matters a lot for me since I have very thick hair… it’s time-saving. But I haven’t seen any improvement on my scalp, I’m still dealing with dandruff and hair fall. Any recommendation for me? Anyway, this shampoo makes my hair more fluffy but smooth at the same time. Of course, it’s also because of the combination with the conditioner.

This conditioner, just like the shampoo, is easier and faster to rinse. Combined with the shampoo, they make my hair more fluffy but smooth at the same time. I think the packaging would be easier if turned upside down (even though I can turn it myself), and in a squeezing tube.

The conclusion is I love these products and I absolutely will repurchase it! I think you should try them too :)

Aku kepincut sama LBP ini karena desain packagingnya yang gemesin! Sekarang ini lagi cobain body lotion sama body wash-nya karena belum nemu shampoo dan conditionernya. Aku pakai yang varian label biru coconut and mimosa karena warna favoritku biru haha, but turns out I love the scent!

Iya kan, designnya memang bagus banget dan para pecinta packaging pasti ga bisa menolak😆 Aku malah kebalikan ya, pakainya yang hair care-nya duluan, tapi tentunya ke depannya mau coba pakai body care-nya. Good for you dapet warna kesukaan dengan wangi yang enak juga!
DeleteIya, ada 5 varian: Coconut (blue), Lavender (purple), Rose (pink), Tea Tree (Green), and Ylang-Ylang (yellow). Mungkin aku body care-nya mau coba yang Ylang-Ylang~ Kalo mau cari offline di Jogja, coba di Carrefour Amplaz deh Dyn, aku dapet liat tapi cuma shampoo-nya, conditioner nggak ada. Mungkin sekarang udah ada?
