5 Drugstore Primers for Combination-Oily Skin (Plus 1 High End) [REVIEWS]

by - May 31, 2019

Hi guys, welcome back! For today’s post, I want to show you my face primer stash. It is not a big collection, but I think these primers are more than enough. I have one more face primer that I forgot to include when I took the pictures (of course, me), it is Benefit’s PoreFessional. I forgot to take that one because it is a share in jar product. It is small and it slipped between many products on my shelf so I didn’t notice it. I will put the review below, though, but I’m so sorry I can’t include it in the picture!

I don’t use face primers every day, because most of the days I don’t feel like I need it. I use it when I want to go out for the whole day, or when I need to go to an event or something like that. I also think that primers are not that significantly helping at prolonging the makeup… but some of them make my skin looks better, smoother, and make it easier to apply the makeup. What about you, do you use primers every time you do your makeup?

My primers consist of two local products, one Japanese product (but I think this product is released in Indonesia only), and three US products. Most of my primers are mattifying or pore blurring primers —simply because my skin concerns are large pores and oily t-zone— and affordable. Let’s jump right in!

After trying all my primers, I realise that no primer can hold my oil completely. I still get oily especially around my nose, and that’s normal because my skin type is combination-oily and it is quite humid here. I always heard that Benefit’s primer is so good, and finally, I can prove it myself. I also heard people say that Emina, an Indonesian local product, released a primer that is very similar to the Benefit’s, makes me want to try it out. But I shouldn’t buy any more primer as I already have 6 primers for myself, lol, I can’t even finish them anytime soon!
